Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Phone Pre-Screening - by our recruiter, Vicki Lind

Orientation - 1 & 2 (2 hours each) by invitation

Personal Interview

Auto Insurance - auto insurance required upon admittance to registry

Criminal Background Check

Drug Screening - release required

Bonding and Insurance ($250/year)

Classes - ongoing caregiver education ($30 per 3-hour class, taught
               by nurse educator) required in:

Parkinson’s and Neurological Diseases
Alzheimer’s, Dementia and Depression
Medications
Diabetes, Documentation and Diplomacy
Hospice

Compensation - the rate of pay is determined between caregiver and client. Caregivers work directly for clients--they are NOT employed by Caregiver Connection--and generally charge clients $12 - $18 per daytime hour and $10 - $16 per nighttime hour; $200-$300 for 24-hour "live-in" shift, depending on the level of care, as determined between caregiver and client.
