Because caregivers may be considered domestic employees of clients, we recommend consulting with a tax or accounting professional and/or enlisting a payroll service such as Paychex. Worker’s Compensation - Caregivers may be are generally viewed as domestic employees of clients; worker’s compensation is NOT covered in this arrangement. Caregivers are covered for liability for their actions while in your home. We also recommend checking homeowners insurance for adequate liability coverage. |
